I've been an avid photographer since the age of 9.  My first camera was a 35mm camera and I have never looked back.  My photography training is constantly expanding too.  If I'm not taking a course, I'm studying new techniques for creating that perfect studio/photography experience.

As primary user of our high school dark room, I snapped and developed most of what went into our yearbooks.   I have also received awards for my photography work.  In a nutshell ... Through the years, I've managed to take tens of thousands of pictures.  So, I decided to beef up my skills and pursue a dream...

  ... alas, PhotographyMomStudios.com was born....

I came up with the concept of PhotographyMomStudios.com as my family had just ended a professional photography session of our own.    

In creating my dream, I wanted to design a professional photography experience that would give customers what I wanted in my idea of a "perfect professional photography" experience.

One thing I am not, is your standard department store or mall portrait studio.  I do not take just 5-35 images.  When you ask me to photograph your family, I can guarantee you will be pleased.  Many of my customers have ended up with over 300 shots - all of which have been EXCELLENT!  The tough choice is figuring out which ones to print, making the ability to own your digital images a VALUABLE one!

Owning your own images...
What is the one thing most of us do after we receive our photos from a photographer, box store, etc.?  It's scan and email them to family and friends.  The quality from a scan will never be what the professional image quality was.    Besides, what if you wanted to print more of the same picture?  You are then giving family and friends sub-quality photos even though you paid a premium to get that shot from your Photographer.

What do I offer that makes me unique and different??  You have the right to 'own' your digital images for a low fee.  This gives you the right to have the photos printed at your favorite photo lab with all photographer copyrights granted.  I have created pricing structures for many budgets. 

I also wanted Professional quality prints at a reasonable price.  I understand Photographers have to make a living, but the price scheme leaves alot of people (including us) from owning your memories.  I designed a Photography Studio that changes that.  All budgets have the opportunity to own their 'captured memories'.

Pre-Session Consultation:
Prior to your shoot, we will have a pre-session consultation.  These sessions are usually very quick.  They can be handled on the phone, via email, in person.  The pre-session consultations are my way of helping your family have a fun, relaxed and productive photo shoot.  Your family may have questions about attire to be worn, makeup styles, props, even about bringing your pet to the studio.  A successful photo shoot happens when everyone is happy!

Session Locations (In-Studio or at your Location Choice)
Being a mom to 9 month twins, I know how wonderful it would have been if our Photographer had come to our house for our newborn, 3 and 6 month shots.  Let's face it, not only are mom and dad more comfortable at home, but so are your babies and children!  Comfortable subjects make for excellent "Captured Memories".  For a nominal extra fee, I will come to you.  Your portrait quality will not suffer, as I will bring my equipment to your location.  This allows for the same 'in-studio' quality shots.  Note:  The equipment is not cumbersome and does not require much space.  If you choose to have an out-of-studio session, then, we'll discuss further logistics.

I also offer excellent 'outside' shots at my studio.  We have access to wonderful acreage of green grass, trees and even a rustic barn.  Excellent props for "capturing memories".

During the year, I will also offer 'location' shoots.  Most of these location shots will not include a sitting fee.  These locations include: Pumpkin Patches, Beach, Helen's Gardens, Moody Garden's, Bluebonnets, etc..

Kid Time:
Our family has had pictures taken at some of the 'box stores' and received only 3-6 poses.  If your kids are ANYTHING like mine, then you know that the photographers at these stores don't take photos of everything going on.  As a result, they miss many great photo opportunities.  After all, good photography isn't just about the smiling baby.  There are so many 'unposed' shots that always come out as my favorites.

So, one of my goals was to work on "Kid Time"...   Kid time is taking as much time as we need to get some great shots.  If your baby needs to be nursed, then, we'll wait (or take another family members photos) for you to make your baby happy again.  I will never schedule your session so that we are rushing.  Rushing does not make for "Captured Memories". 

Seasonal Sittings...
I came up with this idea when it families asked if I took fall pictures.  Wow, what a great idea!  I'll have sittings that coincide with events during the year.   These appointments will be 15-30 minutes in length (again - kid time if needed) and will include a 'decorated' background.  All Seasonal Sittings packages include special offers and pricing.  Click here for more info
